Why you should be heading to Banff this April!

March 14, 2006

Spring Skiing? Not here yet!

Yesterday morning the temperature at my house was a cool, -13 C or 8.6 F for those living in the States.

Up at Sunshine Village, one of our principal ski resorts, 30 minutes down the road, the high for the day was -9 C or nearly 16 F.

I don't know where you live, but that still is a winter temperature in my books.

My point is, it still is winter in Western Canada's resorts and they are still accumulating snow not losing it. Unlike some of our poor cousins back East.

...Our season begins in November and runs until mid-May!

Due to our position north of the 49th and healthy elevations (5000 - 9000 ft), snow conditions remain excellent right through May. This is hard to believe for those of you presently golfing or about to. But in the Canadian Rockies it is fact and has been so for decades. In 1991 for instance, Sunshine Village stayed open every weekend until July 1st!

All this with natural snow and without the aid of glaciers.

...There is nothing like feeling the warm rays of the spring sun, while skiing in the mountains.

When April comes, the days are longer and the snow a little softer. Up high, and on the eastern and northern faces, you will find winter conditions and often powder snow. Lower down, the sun softens up the snow and your skis feel like they are carving the slopes like a racer on the World-Cup.

After a good day, or hours before that, you find a nice terrace in the sun, cool drink in hand and reflect on how glad you are that you made the decision to leave the city's rat race, if only for a week.

And the scenery! No question that this place deserved winning the most Scenic award many times from Skiing Magazine. You'll have seen nothing that compares, not even Colorado!

And it was easy to get here.

In and hour and a half you reach Banff, along a seemingly deserted 4 lane highway, leading to paradise. Where are the hordes of people that this highway could hold you will wonder.

And you will begin to think of other things too. Like the fact that you can ski straight onto the lift without waiting in line. That everyone from lift attendants, bar and restaurant staff to the hotel concierge are downright friendly and genuinely pleased to serve you.

Try and remember that last time you were in New York.

Then you will smile when you think of how pleased your wife will be to see how many excellent cafes and shops and restaurants there are and that she would enjoy herself up at the "Castle in the Rockies" tasting the life of luxury in the famous Willow Stream spa for a day.

It all sounds so good and it is...if you act now to reserve your place.

....Spring packages now available at an incredible price!

I have been reserving space with one of my hotel partners for the exclusive use of my overseas wholesale clients. Until now that is.

You see, they have not sold all of their allotted space so now you have the opportunity to purchase that which only now has become available at a very special price.

Currently on our website at www.CmeSki.com/special_offers.htm, we have listed a Banff package, 7 nights, 5 days of skiing, National Park passes and airport transfers for only $624 CAD. (Price per person, April 8 - 15, plus taxes)

...Both my wife and my accountant think I am crazy to offer this deal but I am doing it anyway.

I am willing to sell this package for $62 less or $562.

This same package if purchased for this month would cost you nearly $900, thus you are saving over $400 by buying this package.

But there is more.

If you respond by this Friday, March 17, I will pay for your National Park pass, a value of $35, which will make the package even more affordable.

Let me recap.

To purchase the best spring skiing on the continent where there will be skiing another whole month after you leave, all you have to pay is $75 per day! A full day of skiing normally costs $64!

Thus you are getting your accommodation and airport transfers for only $11 a day! At a three star property during Easter!

This deal will not last.

Right now I am sending this exclusively to my subscribers like you, which is a list of some 3000. I only have 15 - 20 rooms reserved at this price, thus at most 40 of you will be able to take advantage of this deal.

Which one of you will it be?

Meanwhile, my colleague is preparing to send this offer to our list of 4000 North American travel agents, who in turn will offer it to their respective lists of hundreds of clients.

We will send that out on Friday.

Reply to me now at: Easter@CanadianMountain.com and reserve your piece of Spring skiing heaven.

Sincerely yours.

P.S. This offer is valid only until Friday, March 17, 2006. After that, I will have to raise the price. Since you are a loyal subscriber to my newsletter, you get first dibs on this deal at a killer price. Next week thousands of Travel Agents will sell this package to their clients. If you wait, you will lose out on the deal of the season. HT

P.P.S. Remember you get the following: 7 nights accommodation at a centrally located 3-star property, 5 days of lift passes, all transfers, plus: free park pass and (I thought I would throw this in as well) a free day of guided skiing with me and/or one of my local guides.

All for only $527 CAD plus taxes, p.p. (based on double occupancy) Right now this same package would cost you well over $1100, a saving of over $500! You'll be able to treat your spouse to some very nice dinners during the trip and a day at the Spa too!
