What happened to Autumn?
|
 |
The photos above were taken one week apart.
The first, taken September 8th, is the approach to the 9th hole
at Silver Tip Golf Course here in Canmore. I was hosting a group
of PGA Pros and we were blessed with mid to high 70 F
temperatures and clear skies.
The two on the right were taken in the
morning of the 15th! A cold front moved in mid-week then it
proceeded to DUMP snow for the next 24 hours. I expect we
received over 3 feet in the alpine. In my backyard there was 6
inches.
The temperature never went below freezing
but the snowfall as so great it just kept accumulating.
